The Effect of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder on Aggressive Behavior after The Wenchuan Earthquake:The Moderating Effect of Coping Style

Abstract: This study aimed to explore the relationship among posttraumatic stress disorder,aggressive behavior and coping style. 980 pupils who experienced the Wenchuan earthquake were investigated by revised child PTSD symptom scale and self-designed questionnaire on behavior problems and child coping style.The result found that pupils have fewer aggressive behavior,but male students have more aggressive behavior than female students. Positive cognition moderate negatively the role of avoidence symptom in aggressive behavior. Negative vent moderate activiely the effect of avoidence symptom and hyperarousal symptom on aggressive behavior respectively.
