Motor development and inhibition in 4-6 year-old children

Abstract: Using teacher rating and stop-signal paradigm,the present study examined motor development,motor inhibition and their relationships in 4-6 year-old children.The results showed that motor under static and moving condition developed rapidly in children of 4-6 years old.Motor inhibition ability was low but developed with age.Motor inhibition correlated significantly with general motor ability.The significance of motor development and the mechanism of motor inhibition was discussed.
