Teacher’s Job Satisfaction and Performance:The Mediating Role of Job Burnout

Abstract: This longitudinal study is intended to examine the relationships among job satisfaction,job burnout and performance.Data were collected from 398 kindergarten and primary school teachers.Results of the SEM showed that job satisfaction was positively related to performance,and the relat ionship was mediated by emotional exhaustion.Job satisfaction was the best predictor for three dimensions of job burnout,emotional exhaustion was negatively related to performance,depersonalization and personal accomplishment were not related to performance.
