Comprehension-Monitoring Abilities of Children with Comprehending Disabilities

Abstract: Based on previous studies on comprehension-monitoring,our study focused on comprehension-monitoring abilities of the students with comprehending disabilities.The results indicated that(1) Share the same aims of reading with normal students,comprehension difficulties students tend to acquire meaning from the information of the text;(2) Comprehension difficulties students' intensity of reading aims drop behind normal students,which lead to a lower comprehension monitoring level.However,the ability of comprehension monitoring is not different between normal students and comprehension difficulties students.
