Abstract: Relations among children's academic achievement, prosocial behavior and peer acceptance/rejection were investigated in a sample of 402 fifth and sixth graders in primary school. It was found that (1)significant differences existed in the prosocial behavior among children with different academic achievement.(2)Prosocial behavior positively predicted children's peer acceptance and negatively predicted peer rejection, while academic achievement only positively predicted children's peer acceptance. (3)Prosocial behavior predicted children's peer acceptance more than academic achievement did.
