The Relationship between Moral Disengagement and Academic Dishonesty Behavior of College Students

Abstract: Based on the results of a survey of 550 college students,this study explored the role of moral disengagement in academic dishonesty behavior.The results suggested that moral disengagement had a positive effect on academic dishonesty behavior.The responsibility and moral identity had a negative effect on moral disengagement,and the relationship was mediated by moral disengagement.Moral disengagement didn't mediate the relation between empathy and academic dishonesty behavior.Finally,The implications of these findings was discussed in this article.
