The Relationship Between Self-Complexity and Subjective Well-Being in College Students

Abstract: In the present article,188 college students were asked to finish Life Satisfaction Scale and Affect Scales (including Positive Affect,Negative Affect),and adopted methods which is similar to the work done by Linville.The present study found that positive and negative self complexity were (1) independent of each other,and (2) they had different relationship with subjective well being; (3) the proportion of positive and negative words in measuring self complexity,as well as different scales used to measure well being accounted for the above mentioned discrepancies.
